Dear Criss,I'm a huge fan of yours, and my dream brfore my time is up on this earth is to meet u personally. I'm 46 and recently lost one leg and have limited ways to get around. If there is anyway u could possibly make my dream come true, I'd feel so fulfilled. I also keep trying to order your new zip up sweat shirt 13, but it's never in stock. I want that and the thermal one in an extra large. Please let me know if there's any way I could order them. I love ur show so much, but it's not on enough. I want more to see u in person. Make my dream come true.  truly yours,  Debbie Nye.  R  R  1  Box 419  Olyphant, pa. 18447   (570)254-6213.

Biography

Criss Angel was born on 19 December 1967 and raised in East Meadow, New York. He grew up loving music, (playing the drums) and always having an interest in magic. Two of his biggest magic influences are Harry Houdini and Richiardi. His father was also a big influence on him, especially after battling cancer before finally dying in 1998. As a teenager, he performed at birthday parties, night clubs, and private events doing magic. He got his pyrotechnics license at age 18. He also has a 7th degree black belt and a background in dance and gymnastics. Criss played in a band called AngelDust with friend Klay Scott who produced and helped arranged his cds and music for his Mindfreak show. He performed in World Of Illusion at Madison Square Garden in 1998. Criss then scored a show on Broadway titled "Mindfreak" which ran up until Jan. 6, 2003 with almost 600 shows performed. He has had many television appearances and specials such as The Science Of Magic, More Science Of Magic, the ABC Family television special Mindfreak which premiered on October 20, 2002, and another television special on the Sci-fi channel called Supernatural later on. He then transformed into a household name nation wide by scoring a deal with the A&E channel to do Mindfreak as a television series every Wednesday night. Seasons 1 & 2 were filmed at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas with Season 3 currently being filmed at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas.

Angel is the only magician to have won the Merlin Magician of the Year award twice in 2001 and 2004. He holds the world records for: Longest time submerged underwater (24 hours), the longest body suspension time (5 hours, 42 mins), fastest time to perform the "Metamorphosis" illusion (under a second) and the fastest straight jacket escape (2 mins 30 seconds). One of his favorite musicians is Korn and he is now a personal friend of Jonathan Davis who has appeared on his television series.
